We delve into a little-known period of prosperity, the Golden Age of the Taifa of Saraqusta, an oasis that inspired our most authentic art form, Mudejar, a period in which we were at the height of our artistic, scientific, commercial and cultural power, illuminating the entire Medieval West.
We highlight the splendour of this Taifa Kingdom, ignored and denigrated in our history, a period of peace, progress and coexistence between multiple cultures, in which heights were reached not only in architecture. There was also significant progress in areas such as agriculture, which underwent a veritable green revolution, enriching our gastronomy. And in culture, libraries, science, education, philosophy, literature, poetry, music and folklore.
We have a debt to our history if we omit this period in our territory's past, which is barely mentioned in education systems where wars and conflicts fill the pages.
We delve into it with a fresh perspective, with poetry and tenderness, discovering a culture that forms part of our most ancient roots.
