Sapne Jinke Ho Gaye Apne - Ram Shankar
Ram Shankar is a celebrated Indian playback singer, music director, and producer whose career spans over four decades. Born and raised in Mumbai, he comes from a prestigious musical lineage—his father and uncle formed the iconic Sufi Qawwali duo Shankar-Shambhu. Ram Shankar began his formal training in Indian classical and light music at the age of five and gave his first public performance at ten.
He carved his niche in Bollywood, contributing playback vocals to popular films like Dulhe Raja, Jaanwar, Pardesi Babu, and Bichhoo. His debut Sufi album Yaaron Sab Dua Karo became a hit and set the stage for a prolific career in ghazals, bhajans, qawwalis, and devotional music.
Beyond singing, Ram Shankar has composed music for films such as Khatron Ke Khiladi, Jigyasa, and Sparsh – The Touch, and continues to release devotional singles. His global influence is evident in the 3,000+ live performances he has given across countries like the U.S., U.K., U.A.E., Canada, and Italy.
